Food is my friend.
Although the newsletter got done after November, I wanted to finish it since I started it.
As for Thanksgiving, I hope everyone got to eat what they wanted...of course, within health limits. Not everyday do we get to indulge in foods we want to eat, but Thanksgiving holiday is an exception with lots of food we can eat without too much guilt.
To make the gift giving process a bit easier, have sticky notes handy. Make your list from the stick notes. Write down a name per note. Then, you can arrange it on a table into different columns, such as how much money to spend or if the gift needs to be mailed. After arranging the notes, make your shopping list from there. Keep your notes handy so that you can label the gift temporarily when it's time to gift wrap.
Ashley is cooking in the kitchen while James and Peter stares at her from the living room.
JAMES: Son, I did my best. I lost to your Mom on the bet, so she's cooking for Thansgiving.
PETER: Well, Dad, you did your best. So, are you prepared?
JAMES: Yes. I got me cell ready in case I need to order food. I also got the First Aid kit and cleaning supply handy.
PETER: I'm prepared also (reveals the hand held fire extinguisher).
JAMES: Are you serious?
PETER: Dad, I prepare for the worse.
JAMES: What, son? I can't hear you. (Ashley is running a bunch of appliances in the kitchen, including the blender).
Suddenly, the entire house goes black when Ashley plugged in another appliance that was poorly grounded.
PETER: I said I prepare for the worst, but obviously not enough. Wow, mom has reached a new height with her cooking disasters.
JAMES: Yup, add electrical fuse to our list. Time to eat out. Sushi?

Thanksgiving dinner doesn't necessary need to be a home cook meal. As long as the spirit of Thanksgiving exists (i.e. , spending together with family), eating out is just as good. The benefit of eating out is to avoid the hassle of cooking and cleaning. Thanksgiving holidays suppose to be a time of relaxation and rest. Cooking a full course meal can be stressful and tedious. A lot of restaurants are closed on Thanksgiving day, but there are alternatives: 1) celebrate Thanksgiving ahead of time or 2) go to a non-American restaurant on Thanksgiving day, such as Chinese, Japanese, or Korean restaurants. Save yourself the time and headache and enjoy more free time to spend during the holiday.
