HOLIDAY

The newsletter barely made in time again. But, with the holidays, I was able to catch up, and I also got a chance to get the JAN08 newsletter done.

This is the last newsletter for 2007. Now, that I look back, I'm so proud that I commited to making one for each month. This hobby has been time-consuming, but worthwhile. It's so easy for me to give up on a hobby and get enticed by another or busy times forces me to quit. And, I hope you were able to keep your hobbies as well or start a new one during the holidays.

CREATIVE:
GLASS ORNAMENTS

If there are kids running around house during the holidays, having glass ornaments on the Christmas tree may not be a good idea. Kids may nock them down and get hurt from the glass. However, there are still ways to showcase your glass ornaments. Put them in a large glass cylindrical vase, and use it as a center piece on your dining room table or coffe table. Another location for them would be putting them inside your display cabinets.

STORY: GIFT

Ashley and James are in the living room.

JAMES: So, honey, what do you want for Christmas?

ASHLEY: UGGs.

JAMES: That's it. Really?

ASHLEY: Yup.

JAMES (gives Ashley a hug): There you go honey.

ASHLEY: No. I said UGGs, not a hug.

JAMES: Awww, you're getting technical with me. Okay, I give you another hug. Now, I gave you hugs (gives Ashley another hug. Ashley rolls her eyes).

REVIEW: RESTAURANTS

• Sushi
  This salad is a bit different from a normal Caesar Salad because of its dressing. Instead of a liquid dressing, it is based on more finely chopped ingredients. It's really good, but I should have ate half of it. It started to taste a bit on the salty side.

• Hunan Chicken :|
  The chicken was so-so, but the portion was huge. The flavor was too weak, and the chicken was a bit on the dry end.

Rainforest Café :|
(Rancho Cucamonga, CA)

• The food wasn't up to caliber for the price paid. The chicken was dry, and the steak beef didn't have much beef flavor. I think the priceyness of the meal was due to the decor, which was animated animals and jungle decorations. I didn't vibe with the place. It was not as entertaining or as good as it looked.

TIME SAVER:
GROUP SHOPPING

Shopping during the holiday season can get really crowded at the malls. To save some time while shopping in-stores, shop with a group of people. Here are some ways to save time:

• Get someone to drop the group off at the mall to avoid parking.
• Share each others' wishlists and split into groups to go to different stores. Phone each other to notify the deals that are happening or clarify the purchase to be made.
• When there is a long line for payment, have one stand in line while the others shop. Switch with the person standing in line when one of the shoppers is done.
