HER+HIM

Lol...yes, this month, I ran out of time to finish the newsletter earlier. So, no theme graphics this month. Instead, I'm showing what I designed recently. It's the HER+HIM series, and these two are the babies. :D Once in a while, I get a sudden burst of creativity, and I'll start designing characters and stuff.

CREATIVE: SURPRISE

Hmm...this month, I thought of surprises. Instead of just telling someone you're giving them a gift, you can make it part of a surprise. It's a small special touch, but it'll create an effect and make it memorable.

For example, the gift is a book.

JOE: Hey, Jane. Can you get this book for me? It's on the shelf. It think the title starts with "It's for U S... something."

Jane finds the book, but the title is partially covered. It actually reads: "It's for U Silly."

STORY: LEMONADE

Peter is out on the front yard having a lemonade stand. Ashley and James join him. Neighbor #9 comes to the stand.

NEIGHBOR #9: Hey, little boy. You got a good deal going on here. A quarter for two lemonade?

PETER: Yes, sir. You get to have one red cup and one blue cup. (Ashley nudges Peter) Oh, but, you need to tell me which one tastes better.

NEIGHBOR #9 (Tries both): The lemonade from the red cup tastes better. (Leaves.)

ASHLEY (To James): Eight Red and One Blue. You loose. People like the lemonade I MADE BETTER. You lost the bet. You're coming to the ballet show with me.

PETER (Impatiently): Mom, Dad, can I go now?

ASHLEY: Here you go son with the $2.25 you've earned from doing the lemonade stand.

PETER (Does some calculation in his head): But, mom you still owe me $1 from getting the lemonade from the supermarket.

JAMES: Huh, lemonade from the supermarket? Loser, you're coming to the golf tournament with me.

TIME SAVER:
QUICK DIRECTIONS

I think I'm becoming a Google fan. It's great with the stuff this company offers. Okay, before I had mentioned about Google Maps for their traffic alerts, but now, I noticed a special feature that is available. Not to mention My Maps. Oh my, can't get into My Maps now. My world will stop just to play with it. Okay, wipe My Maps from my mind. Done.

Anyway, back to the subject. Google Maps allows you to put markers between your Start point and your End point. So, let's say you got to do some errands between your Start point and End point. Just hold and drag the line to the Mid-point destination. Release your mouse and a new marker with a Pause icon will be created. On the left sidebar, you'll will see the new directions updated with your errand stops, plus the time for each individual trip. Yes, convenient. I like. So, I tell you now, to share. Lol. Have fun with it.
